Dear members,

Good news: the pool is reopening soon! Starting today, contractors will install a temporary roof over the pool, and we plan to return to normal pool hours on Monday, Oct. 5.

Your safety is our top priority. A structural engineer, architect, and building inspector have all reviewed and approved the temporary roof, which will protect the pool area while we plan a permanent new roof. Replacing the full roof is a long-term improvement, and we'll share that timeline once it's set.

Thank you for your patience while the pool was closed. We know it's an important part of your routine, and we can't wait to see you back in the water.

Coming Soon: A Bigger Wellness Center

It's a busy time at the Y. Along with the roof work, we're starting construction on an expanded Wellness Center. Over the next two weeks, crews will take down the flagpole in front of the building to prepare the site.

You may notice workers and equipment around the building, and parking may be tighter than usual. Contractors will be parking along the grassy edge of the entrance driveway and use a limited number of spaces near their trailer.

Here's what the new space will offer you:

● More room for free weights, so you spend less time waiting for benches and dumbbells

● More open space for full-body workouts using things like kettlebells, ropes, and bodyweight exercises

● EGYM smart strength machines that automatically adjust to you and track your progress

● New recovery options to help your body rest and recharge after a workout

A new outdoor pavilion, too! We're also building a permanent pavilion on the upper field. It will give us a shaded outdoor space for programs all year long, and more room for Summer Day Camp, so we can welcome more kids and families.

The entire project is expected to take about 10 months, with completion in summer 2027. We'll keep you updated on the schedule and anything that may affect your visit.

See you at the Y!
